ARCOmadrid 2026 Records Institutional Acquisitions Exceeding €1.1M and Multiple Awards
ARCOmadrid, in its 45th edition, has recorded significant acquisitions following its professional preview days. The Ministry of Culture and Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía purchased 17 works by 14 artists for 402,760 euros, while the Institut Valencià d’Art Modern acquired around 30 works valued at 555,000 euros. The Community of Madrid spent over 71,100 euros on four works, the Regional Government of Andalusia invested 145,134 euros in eleven works, and additional purchases came from the ARCO Foundation, Es Baluard Museu d'Art Contemporani de Palma, Fundación María Cristina Masaveu Peterson, Sorigué Foundation and María José Jove Foundation.
