ARCOmadrid Hosts Fundación ARCO Collection Selection Curated by Master's Graduates
Four graduates from the Master's Degree in Curatorial Studies at the Museo Universitario de Navarra have curated a selection of 35 works from the Fundación ARCO Collection for exhibition in ARCOmadrid’s Sala Consejo. The fair takes place at IFEMA MADRID from 5-9 March. The project, entitled “Dear spectator, what are you looking at?”, is supervised by a team from CA2M headed by its director Tania Pardo in a space designed by architect Pedro Pitarch. The curators are Florencia Baliña, Andrés Ruiz, Aroa Urteaga and Andrea Vargas.
The Signal
Fundación ARCO’s decision to open its collection to emerging curators reinforces institutional support for new voices in contemporary art. The exhibition’s emphasis on viewer engagement provides art-world professionals attending the fair with a framework for interpreting works by artists including Sigmar Polke, Anish Kapoor and Teresa Margolles. This approach aligns with the fair’s ongoing role as a platform for professional development and collection access.
