The role

The Assistant Manager, Communications works closely with the wider Communications & Content team in Hong Kong.

will focus primarily on the development of professional English and Chinese copy, ensuring quality and accuracy across various platforms, including but not limited to corporate statements, corporate narratives, press releases, press interview Q&As, and marketing materials.

will also support the wider communications team on a range of press activities and media events. Specific duties &

responsibilities

will include but are not limited to Drive, write, and proof compelling press releases for corporate and sale announcements – including on an object level and for overall sale lineups across 20th/21st Century Art, Asian Art and Luxury Liaise with relevant stakeholders, including specialist departments, to develop press releases and meet announcement deadlines Assist in the development of powerful corporate narratives to support the business’ strategic direction, ensuring narratives are seamlessly woven into Christie’s external communications Interpret business results data to develop and support corporate narratives, using the company’s internal tools and working together with appropriate teams. Compose talking points, scripts, speeches, and Q&As for Senior Executives and Specialists for media interviews, press conferences, VIP events, etc., ensuring accuracy and appropriate tone of voice – providing clear and concise in-person and written briefings as required. Working with the communications team to drive general corporate and sale communications and publicise Christie’s events, including Asia auctions, exhibitions, tours, and previews.

Support on handling media enquiries, pitching and facilitating interviews, and other ad hoc media-related tasks. Monitor and compile market news and competitor news coverage for reporting. Support the wider Marketing team on the development and editing of compelling English content for Christie’s website, social media, external client communications, etc.

The candidate Exceptional (native level) written/verbal communication

skills

in both English and Chinese Bachelor degree level; Marketing Communications/Art History/related disciplines is an advantage A minimum of 5-6 years of copywriting and public relations

experience

at an auction house, art/luxury organisation, media relations agency, or related industry Solid analytical and numerical

skills

with good business sense and sound judgment on corporate issues Commitment to producing work of the highest standard and level of accuracy Hong Kong and Asia-region media relationships would be a strong advantage (across art, culture, finance and lifestyle press) Strong team player with solid relationship building and people skills, able to work with diverse internal/external parties, and across departments Demonstrated ability in handling multiple deadlines and prioritizing, capable of working well in a fast-paced environment

Experience

in art and luxury is preferred Tentative contract period: 3 August 2026 to 18 December 2026 ; 4 January 2027 to 14 May 2027

Salary

Range HKD35,000 per month
