Why This Role Matters
Christie’s Art Finance (CAF) is seeking an experienced and motivated Paralegal to join its team in New York City. The Paralegal will work closely with CAF attorneys, CAF business professionals and other Christie’s teams to support a diversified, high volume portfolio of domestic and international lending transactions. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of relevant experience, exceptional organizational and communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
This role is well suited for an individual seeking meaningful exposure to commercial lending, secured transactions, legal operations, and compliance matters within a growing specialty finance platform.
How You'll Make an Impact
Prepare and maintain UCC filings and comparable international registration filings, including financing statements, amendments, continuations, and terminations Process and track outside counsel legal invoices and manage e-billing systems, including Legal Tracker Coordinate document execution processes and maintain transaction files and closing records Conduct research using legal, financial, and public information databases, including Westlaw, SEC/EDGAR, and other relevant sources Support client due diligence efforts, including Know Your Client (KYC) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) review processes Assist CAF attorneys with the preparation of loan documentation, where needed Organize and maintain global contract templates database What you’ll bring to
the team
Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience. 2+ years paralegal or legal assistant
experience
with top tier law firm or in-house legal department
Experience
supporting secured lending, asset-based lending, commercial finance, or other financing transactions preferred Excellent written and verbal communication
skills
Meticulous attention to detail and well-developed professionalism and interpersonal
skills
