How You'll Make an Impact
Catalogue lots according to Christie’s standard practice Research lots including attribution, bibliography, provenance and exhibition history using publications, London Libraries and online resources Liaise with the Restitution team regarding further provenance research as required in coordination with Heads of sale Co-ordinate departmental ‘hilling’ sessions (when Specialists meet to discuss attributions and estimates of pictures) Act as liaison with external experts both for research (to ensure that attributions are watertight and reflect current scholarship) and to build strong relationships on behalf of the department Write catalogue entries for lots under the guidance of the relevant Specialists Help prepare condition reports for Day sale and Collection sales Assist with laying out, pagination, proofing of the catalogues and co-ordinate the sourcing of comparative images and relevant copyright Co-ordinate catalogue photography and colour checking Liaise with external restorers, framers and providers of technical analysis (x-ray / IRR / dendrochronology etc.) Respond to general, external, departmental enquiries What you’ll bring to
