Georg Baselitz, the German artist renowned for his 'upside-down' paintings and leadership in the Neo-Expressionist movement, died on May 30 at the age of 88. His final series of paintings, titled Eroi d’Oro, is scheduled to debut at the Fondazione Giorgio Cini in Venice on June 6.
