The Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) has permanently installed Jeff Koons’s monumental sculpture Split-Rocker (2000) in the public space surrounding the new David Geffen Galleries. The thirty-seven-foot-tall living sculpture, featuring over 45,000 flowering plants, was unveiled alongside the gallery opening on April 19, 2026. The work utilizes an internal irrigation system and drought-tolerant flora specifically selected for the Southern California climate.
