Artist Kelly Akashi has been commissioned to create a site-specific installation for the new Williams College Museum of Art (WCMA) scheduled to open in late 2027. The project involves a series of botanical and geological sculptures to be situated in the museum's east meadows facing the campus. Akashi will collaborate with the building's architects and the campus community throughout 2026 to develop the works ahead of the museum's inauguration.
