Prof. Raphael Gross has completed and published his expert report reviewing the existing provenance research into the Bührle Collection, commissioned by the City and Canton of Zurich and the Zürcher Kunstgesellschaft. The report was presented to the commissioning bodies and an independent Round Table on June 26, 2024, and published on June 28, 2024. The Round Table confirmed that the report addresses the mandate's questions regarding whether any works in the collection were confiscated as a result of Nazi persecution. The Bührle Collection has been on long-term loan and displayed at the Kunsthaus Zürich's Chipperfield building since October 2021. The commissioning bodies will now analyze the report and expect to issue their initial response by mid-July 2024.
