Kunsthaus Zürich Reports 539,500 Visitors in 2025, Second-Highest in History

On May 5, 2026, Kunsthaus Zürich announced its annual report for 2025, recording 539,500 visitors—the second-highest total in its history and the highest of any Swiss art museum. A Marina Abramović exhibition drew nearly 120,000 visitors, the museum's most successful show in 12 years. The museum also highlighted free commissions in the Chipperfield building's foyer and garden, including Jeffrey Gibson's installation "boshullichi/inlʋchi – we will continue to change" and Monster Chetwynd's slide-sculpture "Zardoz," which was used over 75,000 times. The private foundation PerArte Stiftung, established by Marianne and Martin Haefner, will support future international exhibitions.
