Musée du Louvre to Host Cypriot Archaeology Exhibition Featuring 16 Major Loans
The Musée du Louvre will present 'Cyprus at the Louvre' from February 11 to June 22, 2026, featuring 16 artifacts on loan from the Department of Antiquities in Cyprus. The exhibition includes picrolite idols, copper ingots, and terracotta votive sculptures to illustrate trade and cultural exchange during the Chalcolithic and Bronze Age periods. Organized to mark the Cypriot presidency of the Council of the European Union, the display integrates digital experiences and literary elements from George Seferis and Konstantinos Kavafis.
