National Gallery of Art Announces 'Across the Nation' Initiative and 75th A. W. Mellon Lecturer
The National Gallery of Art has announced the 'Across the Nation' partnership program, funded by trustee Mitchell Rales, which will loan masterpieces to 10 museums across the U.S. for America’s 250th anniversary. The institution also named Aden Kumler of Universität Basel as the presenter for the 75th A. W. Mellon Lectures in the Fine Arts scheduled for May 2026. Upcoming programming includes the photography exhibition 'Beneath the Surface' featuring 150 works and the 'Jazz in the Garden' summer concert series in Washington, D.C.
