Alexander Levy showed an installation by Julius von Bismarck and Julian Charrière. Nyehaus exhibited pieces by Peter Alexander, Judy Chicago, Mary Corse, Ronald Davis, Laddie John Dill, John McLaughlin, Eric Orr, Terry O’Shea, Helen Pashgian and Ken Price. Proyectos Monclova displayed contemporary Mexican art and works by Simon Fujiwara. Material art fair included New Galerie with pieces by Sean Raspet, Nico Colón and Dora Budor.
The Signal
The fairs underscore Mexico City’s role as a hub for experimental and artist-run initiatives. Salón Acme directed 100 percent of sales to artists while No Space at Bikini Wax hosted a group exhibition curated by Keith J. Varadi in a private home setting. These programs indicate rising collector access to emerging Mexican talent and non-traditional presentation formats that complement established fair structures.
