Art Basel Hong Kong Announces Visitor Guidelines and Security Protocols for Upcoming Fair
Art Basel Hong Kong supplies a floorplan to locate participating galleries and information on its Conversations and film program at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. Partners listed are the Hong Kong Tourism Board, Qatar Airways and Westminster Travel Ltd. The centre provides ramps at all entrances, wheelchair-accessible lifts, Braille directories, teleloop systems, tactile guide paths, adapted bathrooms and reserved parking for visitors with disabilities.
The Signal
Group visits of eight or more people require advance registration through a dedicated form, and certain galleries on a forthcoming refusal list will not admit groups due to artwork fragility. Art Basel partners with The Art Loss Register to screen all exhibited works against a database exceeding 700,000 lost, stolen or disputed objects. Visitors are directed to Hong Kong's museums, private collections and gallery scene for additional viewing.
