Artcurial Motorcars Achieves €15M in Inaugural 'Automobile Legends' Auction at The Peninsula Paris
Artcurial held its first classic car auction at The Peninsula Paris, raising a total of €15M. The four-day exhibition in the transformed hotel garage featured rare automobiles and drew international collectors. The sale was led by auctioneer Anne-Claire Mandine with assistance from Matthieu Lamoure and Pierre Novikoff.

The top result was a 1956 Mercedes-Benz 300 SL Gullwing that sold for €4,407,800, establishing a world record. A Ferrari F92A Formula 1 car driven by Jean Alesi fetched €2,912,800, while three Alpine models and a 1968 Renault 4L also set new benchmarks. The results reflect sustained collector demand for historically significant vehicles with documented provenance.
