Bourse de Commerce — Pinault Collection Presents Laura Lamiel Installation 'ça fait un bruit d’ailes, de feuilles, de sable'
Laura Lamiel presents a site-specific installation at the Bourse de Commerce — Pinault Collection in Paris. The works occupy the twenty-four vitrines of the Passage and the Salle des machines, incorporating found objects, fluorescent tubes, mirrors, and materials such as cotton coats, slate powder, and enameled bricks. Curated by Alexandra Bordes, the project forms part of the exhibition Clair-obscur and draws on the artist’s ongoing “cellules” series begun in the 1990s.
The Signal
The presentation underscores institutional commitment to French artists who treat light and space as sculptural elements. Collectors and curators will note Lamiel’s emphasis on tension between presence and absence, a recurring concern that aligns with current museum programming focused on perceptual and metaphysical experience rather than spectacle.
