Full time The Jewellery Specialist is responsible for developing and managing client relationships, securing consignments, providing valuations, and contributing to the successful delivery of auctions and private sales. Working closely with colleagues across Christie’s international network, the Specialist plays a key role in business getting, sale execution, and the growth of the department.
Essential
- JOB FUNCTIONS Develop and maintain relationships with collectors, dealers, institutions and trade clients.
- Source property for auction and private sales, achieving individual business-getting targets.
- Conduct valuations and prepare proposals for prospective consignments.
- Negotiate consignment terms in accordance with company policies and approval guidelines.
- Provide expertise, pricing recommendations and market intelligence.
- Prepare catalogue property, including research, cataloguing and client-facing materials.
- Collaborate with specialists across the Christie’s network to maximize business opportunities.
- Support pre-sale exhibitions, client events and sale-related activities.
- Work closely with Marketing, Press and Client Strategy teams to promote sales and business opportunities.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activity to identify opportunities for growth.
- Represent Christie’s at fairs, events and industry functions.
- Contribute to the department's commercial objectives and profitability.

- Proven track record of business getting and client relationship management.
- Strong knowledge of the international jewellery market.
Experience

- Excellent commercial awareness and negotiation skills.
- Fluent in French and English.
- Strong communication, organisational and client-service skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
