Osman Hamdi Bey’s 'Cami Kapisinda (At the Mosque Door)' sold for £3,678,400 at Bonhams London on March 25, exceeding its high estimate of £3,000,000. The work, which had been held by the University of Pennsylvania since 1895, led a 72-lot auction that realized a total of £6,326,238.
