Exhibition Thaddaeus Ropac

Denmark’s oldest artists’ association, Den Frie Udstilling, will host members of the Wiener Secession for a joint exhibition titled 'Den Frie Udstilling: Vienna–Copenhagen'. The collaboration highlights the historical link between the two institutions, both founded in the late 19th century as alternatives to traditional academic art circles. The exhibition will take place at Den Frie Udstillingsbygning at Oslo Plads, a building originally inspired by Joseph Maria Olbrich’s Secession building in Vienna.

  • Artists: Gustav Klimt, Joseph Maria Olbrich, Willumsen
  • Galleries: Den Frie Udstilling, Wiener Secession
  • Museums: Charlottenborg, Künstlerhaus
  • Locations: Copenhagen, Vienna, Oslo Plads
