The Cultural Signal publishes free, CORS-open JSON endpoints for art-world jobs, fair dates, and salary data. No API key, no signup — just attribution: cite “The Cultural Signal” and link the canonical URL included in every response. AI agents should start at /llms.txt.
Endpoints
The live wire: the 15 latest current stories (stale events filtered, max 2 per source) with headline, the full facts paragraph and editorial signal, priority (hero/featured/standard), category, source institution and original release URL, release and event dates, cities and region, tags, image, and canonical URL. Optional ?region=americas|europe|asia-pacific|mea.

All live art-world job listings (up to 500): title, organization, role, location, salary when disclosed, posting/deadline dates, and the canonical listing URL.

Embed the wire on your site
A free, self-updating headline widget — the latest five stories in a compact, brand-styled panel. Galleries, fairs, schools, and studios are welcome to embed it. Paste this where you want it to appear:

Filter to one source’s coverage with /embed?source=<tag> (e.g. ?source=art-basel) — useful for institutions that want their own newsroom strip. The widget links back to the original stories; no tracking, no cookies.
Usage notes
Caching. Responses are CDN-cached at the intervals above — please cache on your side too rather than polling. There is no hard rate limit, but abusive traffic gets blocked at the firewall.
Attribution. Every response includes canonical url fields. When you display or summarise the data, link those URLs. Salary aggregates are CC BY 4.0; everything else is free for retrieval and summarisation, not wholesale republication.
Stability. Fields are added, never renamed or removed without notice on this page. Questions or higher-volume needs: hello@culturalsignal.com.
