Deantoni Parks is a versatile American drummer and composer known for his work in experimental, progressive rock, and avant-garde music. He has gained recognition for his collaborations with high-profile artists including The Mars Volta, Bosnian Rainbows, and André 3000.
Born in the United States, Deantoni Parks established himself as a prominent figure in the experimental music scene through his technical proficiency and genre-defying approach to percussion. He rose to wider prominence as a member of the progressive rock band The Mars Volta and the alternative rock group Bosnian Rainbows, while also co-founding the band KUDU alongside Sylvia Black.
Parks is recognized for his work as a multi-instrumentalist and composer, often blending new-wave and avant-garde sensibilities. Beyond his band projects, he is one half of the film-scoring duo We Are Dark Angels with Nicci Kasper. His collaborative output remains extensive, including significant contributions to major studio albums such as André 3000's New Blue Sun.
