Stedelijk Museum Announces Death of Yayoi Kusama, Retrospective Becomes Tribute

The Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam announced the death of Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama, who died at an undisclosed age. Born in Matsumoto, Japan, in 1929, Kusama developed a distinctive visual language of polka dots, pumpkins, and mirrored environments over a career spanning more than seven decades.
