Biography
Megan Rooney was born in South Africa and is based in London. She received a BA from the University of Toronto and an MFA from Goldsmiths, University of London in 2011.
Her practice spans paintings, sculptures, installations, performances and poetry, with works that combine contrasting disciplines within individual projects.
Recent recognition includes the presentation of her abstract paintings in the group exhibition 'That Inward Eye' at Thaddaeus Ropac Seoul in 2026 and the inclusion of her 2025 work The Living Sky in Sotheby's Contemporary Day Auction.
