Choreographer and performer Florentina Holzinger has been selected to represent Austria at the 61st Venice Biennale in 2026. Curated by Nora-Swantje Almes, the project titled 'SEAWORLD VENICE' will feature a permanent live installation in the Austrian Pavilion alongside site-specific performances across the Venetian lagoon. The interdisciplinary work explores the human body's relationship with water and technology through a mechanical organism inhabited by performers for the duration of the exhibition.
