Fundación ARCO Presents 29th 'A' Awards for Collecting
Fundación ARCO has presented the 29th “A” Awards for Collecting, recognizing five collections: the Patricia Phelps de Cisneros Collection received the Honorary “A” Award, Fundació Sorigué the Corporate Collection award, the Juan Carlos Maldonado Collection the International Collecting award, the Arte Contemporáneo Alkar Collection ACC Bilbao the Collecting in Spain award, and Álex Ruas Wege the International Young Collector award. The prizes recognize the artistic value of the collections and their support for the dissemination of contemporary art. The awards ceremony will take place at the Círculo de Bellas Artes in Madrid and will be followed by a dinner in collaboration with Cartier to raise funds for acquisitions at ARCOmadrid 2025 for the collection at CA2M Centro de Arte Dos de Mayo Comunidad de Madrid.

The awards underscore the role of private and corporate collectors in sustaining contemporary art ecosystems through donations, exhibitions and institutional partnerships, including ties to MoMA and Museo Reina Sofía.
