Getty Center to Close for One Year Starting Spring 2027; Getty Villa to Remain Open
The Getty Center in Los Angeles will temporarily close to the public from spring 2027 through spring 2028. During this period, the Getty Villa Museum will remain operational and provide additional programming and offerings. The institution also announced the acquisition of new artworks, marking the first time these specific artists have entered the Getty collection.
