The Facts
Hauser & Wirth Paris will present an exhibition of recent works by Marie Angeletti as part of its Invite(s) initiative, organized with Olivier Renaud-Clément. The exhibition opens on November 12 and runs through December 19, 2026. Angeletti, born in Marseille and based in New York, creates sculptures and photographs that explore doubling, gendered encounters, and material transformation. The show includes sculptures made with workers in scrap yards and auto body shops, as well as photographs from her ongoing series 'Men at Work'. The Invite(s) initiative provides a platform for fellow artists, galleries, and writers.
The Signal
The exhibition reflects Hauser & Wirth's commitment to fostering community and supporting the art ecosystem by hosting other galleries. The collaboration with Edouard Montassut gallery, which represents Angeletti, highlights the gallery's role in promoting emerging and established artists. An essay by Dia Art Foundation curator Matilde Guidelli-Guidi provides critical context for Angeletti's practice, emphasizing the poetic and affective dimensions of her work. Angeletti's growing institutional presence, with recent exhibitions at MoMA PS1 and Okayama Art Summit, positions her as a significant contemporary voice.
