Hauser & Wirth Publishers to Open New Creative Hub in Zurich in Spring 2026
Hauser & Wirth Publishers will open a new 150 square metre location at Bäckerstrasse 51 in Zurich's Kreis 4 district in spring 2026. The corner site will function as a creative hub for research, artistic collaboration and publishing projects. Dr. Michaela Unterdörfer, who has led the imprint since 2005, continues to oversee operations alongside the New York location at 18th Street. The ground floor space, originally designed by Swiss architect Theo Hotz, will allow visitors to purchase the full range of titles and back issues of Ursula magazine.
The Signal
The move extends Hauser & Wirth's publishing programme, which has produced more than 230 titles with global distribution and on-site bookstores in New York, London and Somerset. By adding a dedicated European editorial base, the gallery strengthens its capacity to commission scholarship and produce books that document artists' work, complementing existing Zurich spaces at Löwenbräukunst and Bahnhofstrasse.
