On September 30, 2025, Kunsthaus Zürich announced the appointment of Remo Longhi as its new Head of Operations. Longhi will oversee finance, administration, security, IT, and infrastructure, and will serve on the executive board alongside director Ann Demeester and the board of the Zürcher Kunstgesellschaft. He brings extensive experience in financial and corporate management, having served since 2018 as Commercial Director and Deputy Director of the Fotomuseum Winterthur, and previously as Commercial Director and Co-Director of the Internationale Kurzfilmtage Winterthur. The Signal
The appointment signals a strategic move by Kunsthaus Zürich, Switzerland's largest art museum, to strengthen its operational backbone as it continues to consolidate its position as a leading cultural institution. Longhi's background in both financial stewardship and cultural management suggests a focus on institutional stability and long-term planning. For collectors and curators, this leadership change may indicate a period of enhanced operational efficiency and potential expansion of the museum's programming and infrastructure capabilities.
