Kunsthaus Zürich announced on May 20, 2026, a suite of initiatives at the intersection of art, health, and social participation, positioning the museum as an active hub for community engagement. The new program art.in, developed with Children Action and the crisis intervention service PUK-Life, uses art, dance, and music to support adolescents in life crises, based on the Artopie model in Geneva. Workshops at the Kinderspital Zürich, launched in 2025 with artist Monster Chetwynd, offer creative outlets for young patients. Ongoing programs include Aufgeweckte Kunstgeschichten, which since 2012 has engaged people with dementia through storytelling, and Connect, a dance format for those with Parkinson’s and multiple sclerosis, in partnership with Opernhaus Zürich and Tonhalle-Gesellschaft. Guided tours for visually impaired visitors use tactile experiences. A new format, EinzigART, for people with cognitive disabilities will start in autumn 2026, and the museum’s exhibition program reinforces these themes, including a double show of Maria Lassnig and Edvard Munch opening on October 2, 2026.
