At its 129th annual general meeting on May 27, 2024, the Zürcher Kunstgesellschaft approved the 2023 annual report and financial statements. Kunsthaus Zürich recorded an operating loss of CHF 1,585,979, widening from CHF 1,410,285 in 2022, driven by higher personnel and fixed costs following the 2021 expansion that nearly doubled exhibition space. Revenue remained nearly flat at CHF 28.6 million. Visitor numbers fell to 504,349 from 555,529 the prior year, though the museum remained Switzerland's most visited art institution. The three top exhibitions were "Giacometti – Dalí", "Re-Orientations", and "Käthe Kollwitz/Mona Hatoum". The re-curated Bührle collection, opened November 3, 2023, drew nearly 23,000 visitors. Membership stood at 24,820, still the largest of any European art museum association.
