Fair Lisson Gallery Mar 27, 2026

Lisson Gallery returns to Art Basel Hong Kong, presenting works by Olga de Amaral, Tony Cragg, Shirazeh Houshiary, Tishan Hsu, Leiko Ikemura, Oliver Lee Jackson, Anish Kapoor, Josh Kline, Christopher Le Brun, Li Ran, Tatsuo Miyajima, Julian Opie, Hiroshi Sugimoto, Masaomi Yasunaga and Yu Hong. At Encounters, Masaomi Yasunaga shows new sculptures titled A Certain Trajectory that treat glaze as a primary medium and explore time as a scale beyond individual experience. In the booth, Tishan Hsu exhibits skin-screen: revealed (single 3) (2026), Josh Kline shows Artist Fare (2024), Anish Kapoor presents Pagan Gold Centre to Red (2025) ahead of his Venice show, and Tony Cragg displays Contradiction (2024).

The Signal

The participation signals Lisson’s continued focus on Hong Kong as a key Asian market hub while positioning emerging and established roster artists for collector attention ahead of major institutional moments such as Kapoor’s Palazzo Manfrin presentation. Yasunaga’s emphasis on material transformation during firing and Hsu’s examination of digital-body boundaries reflect broader gallery programming that links traditional craft processes with technology-driven identity questions. The inclusion of works by Cragg, Houshiary and Sugimoto alongside younger voices like Kline and Li Ran illustrates how Lisson balances historical depth with current production in its fair presentations.
