Exhibition Louvre Abu Dhabi Jun 06, 2026

Louvre Abu Dhabi presents Picasso, the Figure, a major monographic exhibition of Pablo Picasso. The exhibition traces the artist’s lifelong preoccupation with the human form and features landmark artworks from the Musée National Picasso-Paris, alongside loans from the Louvre Museum, Mobilier National, Louvre Abu Dhabi and other regional collections. It highlights the artist’s influence on the Arab world.

The Signal

The exhibition offers a thematic journey from classical and hieratic forms to hybrid, surrealist and late-life transformations. Exhibition co-curator Cécile Debray, President of the Musée National Picasso–Paris, and Aisha Al Ahmadi, Associate Curator at Louvre Abu Dhabi, will lead a talk exploring connections between myth, metamorphosis and modernity. The presentation positions Louvre Abu Dhabi as a hub linking Picasso’s legacy to regional artistic dialogues.
