Louvre Abu Dhabi Introduces Kayak Tours Around Its Iconic Architecture
Louvre Abu Dhabi has launched a kayaking tour around its iconic dome and waterfront galleries, offering visitors a unique perspective on the museum's architecture from the Arabian Sea. The 60-minute tours, operated by Husaak Adventures, accommodate up to 25 guests per trip and include a safety briefing and paddle instruction. Single kayaks are standard, with double kayaks available for families; children aged 6–12 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Participants must bring their own towel and water bottle, and reservations must be made online in advance. Dates and timings are subject to change, with cancellations communicated by phone.
The Signal
The initiative extends the museum's engagement beyond its galleries, leveraging its distinctive location on Saadiyat Island to create an immersive architectural experience. By offering an active, outdoor encounter with the museum's celebrated structure, Louvre Abu Dhabi positions itself as a cultural destination that blends art, design, and the natural environment. This move reflects a broader trend among institutions to diversify visitor offerings and attract audiences seeking experiential activities alongside traditional exhibition viewing.
