M+ to Present Herzog & de Meuron: In Focus Exhibition in September 2026

M+, Asia’s global museum of contemporary visual culture in Hong Kong’s West Kowloon Cultural District, will open "Herzog & de Meuron: In Focus" on September 12, 2026, running through January 2027. The exhibition celebrates the museum’s fifth anniversary and marks the second phase of a major donation from the architectural firm that designed the M+ building. It traces Herzog & de Meuron’s evolving vision through ten key projects in China from 2002 to 2021, including M+ itself, Tai Kwun in Hong Kong, and the National Stadium in Beijing. The display features over two hundred process materials—models, drawings, material samples, and prototypes—presented in replicas of the wooden vitrines used for the firm’s Kabinett archive in Basel, Switzerland.
