Mori Art Museum Chairperson Emerita Mori Yoshiko Dies at 85
Mori Yoshiko, Chairperson Emerita of the Mori Art Museum and director of the Mori Building Company, died of pneumonia at 9:27 am on December 23. She was 85. Together with her late husband Mori Minoru, she opened the Mori Art Museum in 2003 and served as its founding Chairperson for over two decades, contributing to contemporary art in Japan and internationally. She held numerous board positions including trustee of the Royal Academy of Arts, London, and member of MoMA's International Council and Tate International Council.
