The National Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C., has added hundreds of works to its permanent collection through a series of gifts and private purchases. The acquisitions feature significant contemporary installations by Dan Flavin, Barbara Kruger, and Pepón Osorio, alongside the museum's first works by Salman Toor, Teresita Fernández, and Mark Lombardi. The expansion also includes over 175 photographs, ranging from 19th-century American Civil War documentation to modern portfolios by Sebastião Salgado and James Turrell.
