Christie's to Offer Peter Simon Collection, Highest-Value Single-Owner Collection at London Marquee Week

Christie's announced it will present "Monsoon: The Peter Simon Collection" during its London Marquee Week in October 2026. The collection, from British businessman and Monsoon founder Peter Simon, comprises nearly 200 works across three auctions: an Evening Sale, a Day Sale, and an online sale. It is the highest-value single-owner collection ever offered at Christie's London in a single Marquee Week. Highlights include Francis Bacon's "Figure in Movement" (estimate: £14,000,000–18,000,000) and "Study for a Figure" (estimate: £4,000,000–6,000,000), alongside works by Piet Mondrian, Joan Miró, Andy Warhol, Pablo Picasso, Ben Nicholson, Barbara Hepworth, and Hurvin Anderson.
