On June 4, 2026, Pace Gallery released an Artists on Artists film in which Anicka Yi explores the exhibition Paul Thek: Dream of Vanishing. The show remains on view at the gallery's New York location through August 14. Yi applies what psychologists term lantern consciousness to the presentation of Thek's paintings, sculptures and notebook pages. Yi is known for installations that incorporate organic and mechanical materials to examine the biopolitics of the senses. She identifies a kinship with Thek's concerns, stating that she feels a deep kinship with the work on view.
