The Serralves Foundation in Porto has opened 'Vexation of Spirit,' the first exhibition of the contemporary art collection assembled by Count Duerckheim and recently placed on deposit at the institution. The exhibition features approximately 90 works by 34 artists, including Georg Baselitz, Anselm Kiefer, Antony Gormley, and Gilbert & George. Spanning four decades of collecting, the presentation introduces several key artists to the Serralves Collection for the first time, focusing on themes of religion, society, and historical conflict.
