Stedelijk Museum and ABN AMRO Renew Partnership to Support Female Artists and Youth Education
The Stedelijk Museum has renewed its partnership with ABN AMRO to align the bank with exhibitions, activities and educational programmes that promote equal opportunities for women, children and young people. ABN AMRO will serve as main partner for the 2026 Yayoi Kusama exhibition, adopt the Kusama Kids Festival and adult audio tour, and contribute to educational materials. The museum opened the exhibition of 2025 ABN AMRO Art Award winner Ivna Esajas on March 7, 2026, and will announce the next winner in May 2026.
The Signal
The renewed agreement extends ABN AMRO’s support for the Blikopeners programme, in which Amsterdam residents aged 15 to 19 serve as peer educators, and funds at least three annual workshops for schools linked to the Youth Education Fund. For collectors and curators the partnership signals sustained institutional backing for female artists through dedicated exhibitions and long-term visibility at a major public museum, while broadening access initiatives that can influence audience development and emerging talent pipelines.
