Stedelijk Museum to Host Live Performance by Sandra Mujinga for Amsterdam Dance Event
The Stedelijk Museum hosts Norwegian artist Sandra Mujinga for live sound performances on October 24 and 25 as part of the Amsterdam Dance Event Arts & Culture programme. Mujinga activates her installation Skin to Skin, which transforms the museum’s lower-level gallery into a landscape of 55 towering sculptural figures, sound and shadows. The performances explore themes of presence, disappearance and identity through her sonic and visual vocabulary.
The Signal
The ticketed events provide collectors and curators a live immersive encounter with Mujinga’s interdisciplinary practice at a major museum. The collaboration with ADE indicates institutional interest in expanding audiences for contemporary installation and sound works through cross-disciplinary programming.
