The Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam presented the first museum retrospective of the late photographer Erwin Olaf, two years after his sudden death. The exhibition, 'Erwin Olaf – Freedom,' included well-known series such as Im Wald, April Fool, and Muzen for the first time in a museum, alongside rarely shown early journalistic photographs, videos, sculptures, and his final works created during a lung transplant period, including For Life and Self-Portrait 01, 2023.
