Storm King Art Center will host 'Message from the Mud', the first large-scale outdoor project by artist Anicka Yi, from May 17 to November 9, 2026. The installation features acrylic columns filled with soil and water samples from the site's South Ponds, utilizing Winogradsky technology to cultivate visible microbial colonies. The work explores themes of deep geological time and interdependence through the lens of prehistoric biofiction.
