Tate Appoints Daisy Desrosiers as Britton Family Curator at Large for North America
The Facts
On July 15, 2026, Tate announced the appointment of Daisy Desrosiers as the Britton Family Curator at Large, North America. Based in the United States, Desrosiers will focus on developing North American art in Tate’s collection through new research and acquisitions. She is an interdisciplinary art historian, curator and museum leader who co-curated the 15th Shanghai Biennale and has served as Director and Chief Curator of The Gund at Kenyon College since 2021. Desrosiers succeeds Christine Y. Kim in the role, which is supported by the Britton Family Foundation.
The Signal
The appointment underscores Tate’s continued investment in expanding its representation of North American art, a strategic priority for the institution. Desrosiers’ background in collection-building and artist-centred curatorial work, including her role at the Shanghai Biennale, positions her to forge new connections between North American artists and Tate’s global programme. The Britton Family Foundation’s support ensures the role will drive acquisitions and exhibitions that broaden the collection’s geographic scope.
