Art Basel Announces 2026 Flagship Edition Featuring 290 Galleries and New 'Basel Exclusive' Initiative

Art Basel has detailed the programming for its 2026 flagship fair in Basel, featuring 290 galleries from 43 countries and the launch of 'Basel Exclusive,' a program where exhibitors reserve major works for a first-time public unveiling at the VIP opening on June 16. The edition includes the Unlimited sector curated by Ruba Katrib of MoMA PS1, featuring 59 large-scale projects, and the Parcours sector curated by Stefanie Hessler. The fair will also introduce the inaugural Art Basel Awards and coincides with the 61st Venice Biennale, featuring numerous artists represented in both international events.
