Artcurial to Auction Christian Levett and Jean-Jacques Rotthier Antiquities Collections in Paris
Artcurial will host a two-day auction on May 11 and 12, 2026, featuring the second part of Christian Levett’s renowned collection of ancient arms and armor alongside the Egyptian antiquities of Jean-Jacques Rotthier. The Levett sale includes museum-quality Greek and Roman military artifacts formerly housed at the Mougins Museum of Classical Art, while the Rotthier collection offers nearly 70 works ranging from the Predynastic to the Roman period. The event will also feature Cycladic idols, Islamic manuscripts, and Indian textiles, including a rare Mughal Qur’an section and a Safavid candelabrum.
