Joseph Kosuth exhibition titled The-exchange-value-of-language-has-fallen-to-zero opens on March 28, 2026 at Casa dei Tre Oci in Venice. Presented by Berggruen Arts & Culture and Berggruen Institute Europe, the show spans more than fifty years of work from One and Three Mirrors (1965) to the new large-scale neon installation A Chain of Resemblance (2026). It also includes The Fifth Investigation (1969) and Text/Context (1978–1979).

The Signal

Kosuth has participated in eight editions of the Venice Biennale and installed permanent works at Fondazione Querini Stampalia and Università Ca Foscari Venezia. The survey demonstrates the sustained institutional interest in Conceptual art practices that treat language as both medium and subject. Collectors and curators gain direct access to the artist’s site-responsive approach through the Foucault-based neon created specifically for the Casa dei Tre Oci entrance.
