Bonhams|Cars Moves Monterey Car Week Auction to WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca
Bonhams|Cars has signed a multi-year agreement with WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca to host its Monterey Car Week sale, extending an existing 15-year partnership. The auction will take place on August 13, with the preview beginning on August 11-12 during the pre-reunion race weekend that opens Monterey Car Week. The sale forms an integral part of the Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion at the track, which was named Motorsports Event of the Year at the 2025 International Historic Motoring Awards. The move marks the first new venue for the Bonhams|Cars Monterey auction in 29 years after previous hosting at The Quail in Carmel Valley.

The relocation integrates the auction directly with the competition venue, giving collectors the opportunity to acquire and race historic cars at the same site. Global Managing Director Whitney Maxwell highlighted the importance of the location for the flagship sale and the track's capacity for growth, while WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca President Mel Harder noted the partnership's role in enhancing the collector-car experience during Monterey Car Week. The extended collaboration, which began in 2011, already includes support for the Drivers Lounge and trackside activations.
