Bourse de Commerce Presents Fujiko Nakaya Fog Sculpture in the Rotonde
The Bourse de Commerce — Pinault Collection has installed Fujiko Nakaya's Fog Sculpture Cloud #07156 in the Rotonde as part of the exhibition Clair-obscur. The work employs high-pressure pumps and nozzles to generate an artificial fog composed of water micro-droplets, transforming the circular space designed by Tadao Ando into an environment of shifting visibility. Nakaya, born in 1933 in Sapporo, developed the technique after abandoning painting in the 1960s and first realized a large-scale fog sculpture in 1970 for the Pepsi Pavilion at Expo Osaka. The installation runs until September 14, 2026, with admission priced at 15 euros full rate and 10 euros reduced, including access to the main exhibition.
